About A Guy
She wasnt in the mood for love cos she began to realise that there is no such thing as true love. After a few failed relationships, she was tired of taking that risk of finding the one. All she wanted to do is wait for her O level results and move on..
She got a job as a temp staff at IRAS thanks to her cuz who was working there. Luckily, 2 of her gd friends manage to get the same job as her. It was her 1st job as a young teenager and it was especially sweet when payday came. She made a few friends there as most of the temp staff werking there are about her age.
Within a few wks, into the job, another batch of new recruits came on board. It was fine but somehow there was this guy that she didnt like in particular. He always gets himself into trouble. She didnt like that sort of troublemaker. Somehow, she received news that this guy liked her gdfriend and she joined in the fun to tease her friend abt it.
One day, her keliqs and her decided to go out for a bowling session. She had fun and whilst going back home, she purposely asked for their contact nos. The reason was she wanted to get to know this other guy whom she had a crush on. So to avoid any suspicion, she asked for all contact numbers!!
The next day, she got to know that the rebel guy was sick. So being the typical matchmaker that she thot she was, she called him to ask how he was and tried to get him to be with her friend. Her 2 gdfriends were with her that time and in the end, the conversation with that guy was passed around among them. Days passed by and she began to have one to one conversations with him. To her dismay, she found out that the story abt him liking her friend was only rumours.
One day, he left her a message on her pager. She checked it out and to her surprise it was a song frm Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply! Shocked and surprised, she quickly called her friend and her friend made her realised that that guy had feelings for her instead!! To cut the story short, they became a couple after that. Thats why people say, "Dont hate someone too much cos u might end up liking them instead!"
As of today, 7 years have since passed and in a few months' time, they will tie the knot. Till today, she still cant believe that her relationship with this guy would last this long cos it was the 1st time that love knocked on her door by surprise. They certainly didnt have a smooth journey to get to where they are now but she's grateful that for every obstacle that they overcome, their relationship became stronger and closer than ever.
Whatever lies ahead for them is anybody's guess but there's one thing for sure. All she wants to do is to spend her life with him and to grow old together. Insyaallah!!
